From snow-dusted peaks to pine-scented valleys, the state draws travellers year-round — whether for summer retreats, autumn treks, or winter snowfall.

Himachal Pradesh is home to numerous hill stations, each with its own character. Popular stops include Shimla — the former summer capital of British India — as well as Manali, Dharamshala, Dalhousie, and Kasauli. These towns offer cool climates, colonial-era architecture, and panoramic views of the Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal ranges.

Scenic Routes & Attractions

Road trips through Himachal are an attraction in themselves. Winding mountain highways connect the hill stations, passing through deodar forests, apple orchards, and terraced fields. Key routes include the Shimla–Manali highway, the Mandi–Kullu valley road, and the dramatic ascent to Kinnaur and Spiti.

Beyond the towns, the state offers adventure activities such as trekking in the Great Himalayan National Park, paragliding in Bir Billing, and trout fishing in the Beas River. The region's monasteries, temples, and local festivals add cultural depth to any itinerary.
